Please join us for an education seminar specifically for our Brokers where we will review some of the State and Federal laws with which property managers need to comply and some effective techniques used in managing the properties while remaining in compliance. What is the difference between a "pet" and an "emotional support animal"? How to screen prospective tenants and reduce the chance of a Fair Housing claim. Handling security deposits and move out charges. How to comply with GREC Rule 520.1.08 every month (Trust Account Reconciliations). Mike will also address any specific questions or issues you might have.

About the Instructor

Mike Nelson Mike Nelson was originally licensed as a real estate salesperson in 1977. He graduated from the University of Georgia in 1981 with a BBA in Real Estate and became licensed as a real estate broker that summer. Mike has received the GRI designation from NAR. He is also a member of the National Association of Residential Property Managers from which he has received the Residential Management Professional (RMP) and Master Property Manager (MPM) designations. The Georgia Association of REALTORS® has selected Mike to teach the property management segment for the Graduate, REALTOR® Institute (GRI) Program and the Georgia Real Estate Commission selected Mike to serve on their Education Advisory Committee to represent the needs and concerns of the property management industry. Mike is the managing broker of Excalibur Homes, LLC which is one of a handful of companies across the country to receive the Certified Residential Management Company (CRMC) designation. Excalibur represents about 1300 rental homes in the Metro Atlanta area.
